2022 Padigan Viognier
Our 2022 Viognier reflects the relatively cool, late ripening season with nuanced aromas of flower petal, white pepper, jasmine, orange peel, and yellow peach. Those carry onto the palate along with pear, Golden Delicious apple, and lemon curd. Make no mistake, this wine’s lusciousness makes it a candidate for immediate enjoyment, but patience will be rewarded as the layers coalesce and gain complexity with maturity. We suggest lemon pepper seared halibut steak with white wine, shallots, rosemary, thyme, and blistered grape tomatoes. Enjoy now through 2025.

Paul Gregutt's Northwest Wine Guide: Fans of Viognier will want a few bottles of this new release from Padigan. A relatively late harvest gave the grapes extra hang time, the wine enhanced aromatics and the palate both density and detail. This is a tight, focused wine, packed with citrus and stone fruits, sappy acids and peppery spices. Aged on the lees in stainless steel, it was released this past November. Drink now through the rest of the decade. 131 cases; 14.1%; $26 (Rogue Valley) 91/100
